WALT write a poem with metaphors.

A metaphor is when something is said to be something else.

Rose’s are kids dreams at night and at day baby dreams.

Every time you cut or crush a rose you are killing the dreams of kids and babies.

By letting the roses grow you are letting children dream.

Vanila ice cream,

Dribbling down my chin,

Tasting so sweet,

Like a warm hug.

Fluffy clouds,

Taking weird forms,

Sometimes looking like animals,

Looking so close yet really are far.

Santas beard,

That looks like snow,

Bet it’s soft and fluffy,

But we’ll never know.

The feeling,

Of surprise,

When I get a big fright,

On a very scary night.

The bandage,

On top  of a bump,

Or a broken limb,

Or a cut.

Alice’s Scary Adventure.

Long, long ago in medieval times there was a owl whose name was not known but because she was a random owl, which once they chose what they say it is for life, she chose to say Alice so people called her Alice. So like all owl’s she was nocturnall but people are getting angry by the minute because Alice’s call’s are too loud. Once her call’s changed the world for ever here is the story.

Once when Alice was calling her loudest some elefantas from space hered her. Eliefantas are elephants mixed with a duck. They have trunks that are all the colours in the whole entire world in total it has an infinite amount of trunks but beware and be warned because quite frankly they are dangerous so the best thing to do if you see a elephant of a duck or both run screaming in the other direction ok. So they were mad because they were sleeping and when a elefanta is sleeping you never want to disturb it. If their mad you would wish you were never born. Now back to them being mad it was a fiery anger then suddenly they turned into a ball of fire and when they turn into it they try to kill who ever has annoyed them.

So first they had to gather enough speed because they were in another dimension finally they gathered it so they traveled but they were on the other side of the milky way so they traveled even more  and more and more then finally they hit earth but on the other side of the planet and were under water which cooled them down but they still had the anger inside of them so they swam and swam and swam until they faced Alice but Alice flew and flew and flew but they caught up with her and pulled her with them.

How Kapiti Island Came From

Nowadays Kapiti Island is a fantastic place for wildlife it is rocky on one side and on the other it is trees galore. It's steep on both sides like a mountain reaching up to the sky and when you hike up it is like your trying to reach the heavens. But I've wondered why it is just sitting there on the ocean like a hawk watching every move you make but where did it come from? Here is how I think it got here. Long long ago in the deep ocean of Nimboa, there lived an octopus named Piethan and a catfish called Tiffanie and they went for adventures.


"I wonder why it is so bright here it hurts my eyes" Tiffanie complained to Piethan. "Probably because there is nothing above us" Piethan answered, "we could make something, though!" Tiffanie exclaimed "it is no use for there is no clay for miles around" Piethan grumbled. Tiffanie thought for a minute... then suddenly an idea popped into Tiffanie's head it was to go all the way to the coast of Waikanae through lots of dangerous obstacles. So she told Piethan and they told their parents and started their adventure.


First, they had to go past enchanted kelp and seaweed that even the slightest touch can set it off to strangle you. Luckily there were pathways between it so if you are careful and lucky you would be able to go past  it so by helping each other they made it past. Next they had to go through the flowers of gloom where if you looked at them you will be parelised with fear and sink to the bottom of the ocean. The most dangerous of all was the water-nado and if you get within it's reach you will get sucked up for all eternitie never to return but they got passed it. "YES" cried Tiffanie "now where is it ah ha here it is now help me pull it up Piethan" so they pulled it up and it is now what we call Kapiti Island.

Red, White And Pink

If you go for a walk by a garden there is shore to be a rose bush there . You may only see red ones but actually there is three colours red, white and pink. Beware of the thorns thank you but where did they come from I wonder and I’ve wondered ever since I could wonder. Well I’m going to tell you a story on how I think they got here. It all started a long long long long time ago the god of beauty Checkonahla saw no beauty in the world and believe me it was ugly.

So she had to think…… suddenly she had an idea but if she could just get some material. Something had caught her eye it looked sparkly what could it be? Checkonahla decided to follow it, she followed it through clouds ( she’s a god) and castles (since they are clouds they just go back together). Suddenly she remembered she had a bow and arrow that never failed her so she took a lucky aim and shot it. It lay as flat as a trampled flower and as still as a dead person “ YES” she exclaimed so with her sword at the ready she walked slowly to get a better look at it. It was her lucky day for it was some material just right for making the beauty in the world.

Now what would she make though she suddenly had an idea it would be a flower she just had to get coloured clay but what colours? She had an idea but it would not be easy to get the colours she had to go into the mortal world to get them for she was out of these particular colours. So she had packed all the things she needed began on her journey to the gates where she would ask the gatekeepers if she could go to get more clay. She was allowed to go on the journey so she flouted all the way to the stone and clay river where she got the colours pink, white and red to make roses and then she went back to heaven and made the roses.

Scene one Outer space   

(Narrator)”One night Crystal the moon was shining as bright as she can but the stars were still brighter than her especially Shimmer. Oh, how Crystal hated Shimmer and all the stars”.

(All stars and Crystal going flash many times)(All the Stars)”Look at how bright we are. Everyone in the galaxy can see us light up the night sky”

(Crystal)”Why can’t I shine bright enough so everyone in the galaxy can see me? I’ve tried so hard”

(Narrator)”Then suddenly Crystal has a very very bad idea. So she sneaks up behind the stars and scars them so they fall on to the place beside the water. Ohno Walnut the giant is coming”.

(Walnut)”Ouch I think I stood on something”
